The Arena Theatre celebrates the Black Country Echoes Festival with this evening of spoken word from some of the Black Country’s most popular poets, including winner of the Felix Dennis Prize for Best First Collection Liz Berry, Emma Purshouse, Dave Reeves and Billy Spake Mon. Originating from the area and with national profiles, these poets publish and perform their work to wide audiences, and celebrate Black Country identity and dialects.

Poetry Craft and Conflict

Saturday 8th November 2014 - Poetry Writing Workshop

Join Black Country poet Emma Purshouse for an inspiring session of poetry writing, using the ‘Craft and Conflict’ exhibition as inspiration.

Emma will be running two workshops during the day so do book a place on either the 11am - 1pm session or the 1.30 - 3.30pm session.

There will be an opportunity to perform any pieces created during the workshop in the gallery at the end of the session.
