Bluebeard's Wives: Poetry Book Launch
Bilston Craft Gallery
Mount Pleasant
Bilston
Thursday 18th October 2007
7.00pm - 9.00pm
Free Event - all welcome
The poems in the 'Bluebeard's Wives' collection emerged after Julie Boden, poet in residence at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, invited women writers for a tour of the building followed by a performance of Bartok's Duke Bluebeard's Castle. Drawing on theatre and music, these poems offer another look at the familiar myth. They have been edited by Julie Boden and Zoe Brigley. The book is published by Heaventree Press.
Tonight's event will feature readings by Julie Boden and Zoe Brigley. Jane Seabourne and Emma Purshouse, who are both members of Wolverhampton's Women Who Write group, have work in the collection and will also be reading.

Voices Off @ Cheltenham Festival
Death and Taxes
The Beehive 8-9pm/£5
Marcus Moore unveils loop-holes in the rules governing death and suggests ways of ignoring the problem of money.
Warning this event contains choice language and some cigarettes, no risk assessment or feedback forms, a few poems, one mild reference to the pudenda...oh and a straightforward rhyme for banker. Faint hearted members of the audinece are entitled to faint, as long as they don't expect any sympathy.
